Our Story
Aguavida was born from a simple but powerful idea: that everyone deserves clean water without harming the planet. Our founder grew up in Colombia in a family of entrepreneurs and water lovers who instilled the belief that curiosity has no limits.
In 2012, she and her husband moved to the United States with little more than determination and a dream. Building a company in a new country was far from easy, but perseverance turned challenges into opportunities. Over time, Aguavida grew from an idea into a California-based business that treats, bottles, and delivers premium water throughout the Los Angeles area and manufactures water vending machines operating in the US and the Caribbean.
Today, she leads Aguavida as both an entrepreneur and a mother. A passionate swimmer, ocean lover, and believer in living close to the water, she pours her love of the sea into everything the company does. For her, Aguavida is more than a business, it’s a way to connect people, protect the planet, and remind us all that water is life
Why We Exist
Clean water should be simple, accessible, and kind to the planet. Yet too often, it comes wrapped in single-use plastic or remains out of reach for entire communities. Aguavida was created to change that.
Our purpose is to deliver water that people can feel good about, pure, refreshing, and responsibly provided. By blending innovation with sustainability and community care, we’ve built a model that hydrates people while lightening the footprint we leave behind. For us, water isn’t just about quenching thirst, it’s about making every sip part of something bigger.
Where We’re Headed
Aguavida is expanding, and our main goal is to create small, local bottling plants with community-based production and distribution. At the same time, we are growing our operations in the manufacturing of water vending machines bringing this model to communities across the U.S. and around the world that lack access to clean water, or simply want a better, more sustainable option. This approach not only reduces plastic consumption but also makes pure water more affordable and accessible.
Our mission is to keep growing in ways that support both people and the planet, whether it’s donating hydration stations at Los Angeles community events or bringing clean water to underserved neighborhoods abroad.
The future we see is simple: fewer plastic bottles in our oceans, more communities with safe drinking water, and a healthier planet fueled by the purest hydration.
What's in your tap water
In the U.S. alone, over 80,000 different synthetic chemicals are used by consumers and industries daily. Only about 91 of these 80,000 chemicals are being tested for in our water systems, ( the water act). Our mission is to remove all the substances present in municipal water using state of the art water treatment technology, offering an incomparable and ultra pure water to our customers.
The Earth's Oceans Are Drowning in Plastic
We know how to pick up trash, we know how to recycle, but Only 1 in 5 plastic bottles are recycled, that means that 38 billion water bottles are wasted each year. Shocking right?, Our purpose is to reduce plastic consumption by reusing and refilling, 1 Aguavida water vending machine can refill 3,300,000 bottles of 16OZ, using 0 plastic bottles! Also our delivery service uses 3 and 5 gallon Glass and PET bottles that are reusable, no single use containers here!
